The Neo Brothers Team would like to thank everyone who made it to Cadwell Park, what an amazing turnout of SAAB enthusiasts and very special cars. We know that certain visitors and their cars travelled from as North as Scotland, as far South as Paris and from as from far afield as Sweden specially for the day. Without everyone who supported this event it wouldn't have been possible. Even the weather was on our side - we had been blessed with a glorious day!
The biggest and most special thanks goes to David -=Fubes=- who put a huge effort into helping us organise this event - we appreciate that he was juggling organising the event and preparing his car at the same time. It's a shame we couldn't see it tear around the track on the day.
We were happy to see so many cars drive to and from the track without breakages, those who did break their cars managed to do it rather spectacularly (Grinnall comes to mind). Whilst it was out and running it actually performed incredibley well - those who were on track at the same time will vouch that it has devilish acceleration and handling .
For those curious to know, a combination of Park and Chris Curve bends led to the failure of the engine. This was caused by the oil gushing to one side of the sump and starving the pickup of oil (didn't anticipate this one!!!). We have already researched the problem with Fredrick at Maptun and the solution is in progress as we speak.
Again, a big thanks for the huge turnout we hope that in the future, Neo Brothers can again sponsor bigger and better events at more venues around the country with your continued support (any suggestions or leads?).
As everyone may be aware, this trackday was intended to be a non profit making event. Any additional money that would have been made from the day was going to be allocated to a charity. We unfortunatly fell short some £2,500 from the cost of the venue. We feel strongly that we still would like to give something to charity especially since everyone had such a great day (even the weather was charitable and in our favour).
We are aware that a certain individual had made a generous offer to give his son's place to drive in return for donating money to a charity. We would like to extend his kind offer by placing his money into a kitty. If anyone would like to also extend this gesture by adding to this £150 kitty (no matter how big or small) Neo Brothers is prepared to match the final amount. We hold this offer open to all untill the end of June.
Team Neo Brothers Here is a great account of the day that has been put together. This video is courtesy of Kev AKA SOULFIRER - sit back and enjoy...
