The Grinnall Scorpion IV is track prepared with an ultra light super-stiff space-frame chassis onto which is bonded a composite bodyshell. The vehicle standard is equipped with a 1.8T engine - this offers amazing performance figures; 0-62 mph in 3.7 secs and 0-100 mph in 7.9 secs, this is enough to challenge most modern day super cars. The cars original dry weight is 690kg giving the car a power to weight ratio of 325bhp/tonne.
We have fitted a B234R race prepared engine, lifted straight from our Saab 9-3 2.3T Race Car that won Euro Enduro 2006 and competed in the Modball race. The engine produces an impressive 420bhp with 528 Nm torque. This translated into our super light chassis (new weight of 780kg) equates to 540BHP per tonne.
